WindStream Communications Analyst II-Engineering in Hiawatha, Iowa

_Analyst ll Damage Prevention Job Description:_ _ _ The Analyst II investigates damage tickets, analyzes findings, prepares root cause memo, identifies process weakness, and provides recommendation to manager for process updates; investigates facility damage and analyzes results; provides training for damage prevention employees and contract locate company employees; acts as team lead; ensures that regular and accurate facility updates are provided to One Call and contract locators; handles advanced data requests utilizing KorWeb; creates and distribute advanced reports on employee and locator performance; and provides 2nd tier escalation calls from One Call centers, customers, contractors. * Acts as a back up to perform screening and dispatching of all locate requests for all WIN buried facility. * Determines the exact location of work performed through ticket information in KorWeb; determines the distance from WIN underground facilities; dispatches locator where work performed is near WIN facility or when WIN is on standby. * Accurately documents conversations with contractors and excavators to show reason for dispatch or clear status of each locate request. * Utilizes and fields incoming calls from excavators and locators in order to identify and resolve issues with excavation requests or with the quality of locates performed. * Escalates issues internally and externally as needed. * Will be able to apply known standards and guidelines to unusual or non-recurring events, analyzing problems, issues and information and formulating conclusions and recommendations. * Must be proficient with use of Microsoft Operation system and Microsoft Office software. * Build intricate spreadsheets and access databases. * Must be advanced with and be able to train others on the software within the workgroup. * Pull, review, and analyze reports and spreadsheets as trained and according to company procedures. * Identify problems, determine root cause, and take appropriate corrective action. * Verbal and written communication is professional and promotes good grammar and communication skills. * Communicate on a daily basis with others both verbally and in writing with minimal supervision. * Respond to e-mails in a timely manner and document work completed. * Maintain files and history as required with ability to retrieve for reference at a later date. * Exceed deadlines and be able to manage multiple projects at once, set and prioritize work according to importance. * Provide excellent service to both internal and external customers. * Establish a professional rapport with regular contacts. * Identify customer's needs and take proactive action as necessary to aid in their success. * Train new employees. * Assist others with their work and answer questions from co-workers as requested. * Understand, demonstrate, explain, and promote Windstream's vision, beliefs, values, and departmental goals.

_Minimum Requirements:_

College degree and 2-4 years professional level experience; or 6 years professional level related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and professional level related experience required.
